What size marquee do I need?
For a buffet event we recommend a minimum of 8 square feet per person and a minimum of 15 square feet per person for a seated event. After that add in space for dance floors, bar, disco/band, catering tables etc. This will usually give you a rough idea of your space requirements. If you are in any doubt then please call and we will be happy to advise you.

What else do you supply (other than the marquee)?
We supply a range of accessories including tables and chairs, lighting, heating, flooring, linings and coloured swags. We have developed links with many other event companies who supply us with catering equipment, themed decoration, toilets and so on. Our list is constantly changing so please call if there is an item that you require that is not listed on our accessories page.

Can marquees be opened in warm weather?
Yes. The walls of our marquees can be opened and secured quickly and easily.

Do we need heaters and are they warm enough?
Even in midsummer, a heater may be necessary. So always budget for a heater. Decisions on this can be made in the week preceding the event.

Are marquees suitable for winter events?
Decked out appropriately, marquees can make ideal venues for Christmas and New Year parties. While powerful heaters ensure warmth, hard flooring allows winter events on comparatively soft ground.

What is the difference between lined and unlined marquees?
Marquee lining provides a more luxurious finish to a marquee. This is most applicable for formal events . With unlined marquees, the PVC walls and marquee structure are fully visible, making them more suitable for functional or casual events.

What colour are your marquees?
All our marquees are made of lacquered white PVC. We do not currently stock any striped marquees.

How safe are your marquees?
All our marquees are made from materials that conform to British Standard specifications and are fully fire resistant. We have public liability insurance cover up to £5 million and certificates are available on request.

Can I make last minute changes to my marquee?
Alterations to accessory requirements can be made no later than 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability. Marquee alterations are flexible and are based on our terms and conditions (Sections 3 & 4).

When will you install/decomission my marquee?
Typically, we erect marquees on the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday before an event; and we dismantle them on the following Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. If you have a special requirement, please let us know.

Can marquees be erected on uneven ground?
Marquees can be put up on sloping or uneven ground, though this can be expensive.

Do your marquees stand up to storms?
Our marquees are sturdy, and we always ensure that they are properly anchored. They are built in accordance with EU Safety Standards and manufactured to withstand wind speeds of up to 60 mph. This is adequate for all but the fiercest of gales.

Can the marquee be connected to a building?
Our marquees can serve as an 'extension' or awning to a building if the space is suitable. Covered walkways are also possible.

Do you have insurance cover?

Could a marquee damage cables or pipes running underneath the site?

Will a marquee damage our garden?
Grass that has been covered for several days will temporarily turn a shade of yellow but should recover within 7 days. We are always very careful not to damage plants and flower beds if included in a marquee.
